About

Alexander V. Casella was born and raised in Anaheim, California. In 2012, he joined the United States Air Force in search of direction and purpose. Spending those years surrounded by focused and driven individuals helped shape the discipline and work ethic he has carried with him throughout his career. In 2016, Alexander took a leap of faith into filmmaking, earned his Bachelor of Science in Film, and worked his way through the camera department before finding his passion for camera operating and Steadicam.

Over the past 10 years, that passion has grown into a career as a cinematographer and Steadicam operator across television, brand campaigns, commercials, documentaries, and eventually emerging technology. His journey brought him to Apple’s Vision Products Group and Immersive Video, where cinematography and Steadicam were at the core of his role, while R&D allowed him to wear many hats—producing, creatively directing, developing concepts, leading crews, collaborating with engineers, and helping solve new challenges in immersive filmmaking.

At the heart of it all, Alexander still loves what brought him into filmmaking in the first place: great people, great ideas, and figuring out how to bring those ideas to life.
